Agreement

By using Maatram (the website, and the Android app where available) you agree to these terms. Maatram is a free, open-source, non-commercial student project — not a registered company — built and maintained by Team Maatram at SSVM School of Excellence.

The service

Maatram provides focus timers, an App Gate/Hard Lock friction layer for social apps, live study rooms, screen-time stats, a productivity leaderboard, and a Sports Corner for offline events. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the project develops — this is a school project actively being built, not a finished commercial product.

Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your account access secure and for anything done from it. Don't share your class code, App Gate lock, or account in ways meant to help someone bypass the features they're meant to help with.

Fair use

Points, streaks and leaderboard ranks are meant to reflect real focus. Manipulating them (automated scripts, exploiting bugs to inflate points, impersonating another student) may result in your account being reset, banned, or removed by an admin — Maatram's Firestore rules and admin console exist specifically to catch and correct this.

Hard Lock & App Gate

These features are meant to help you build better habits, not to lock you out of your device against your will. On Android, Maatram Shield only acts within the app-blocking rules you turn on yourself, and can be disabled any time from your phone's Accessibility settings.

No warranty

Maatram is provided "as is," built by students, with no guarantee it will be error-free or always available. We're not liable for screen time, missed messages, or anything else that happens while a Hard Lock or App Gate is active — you choose to turn those features on.

Open source & license

Maatram's code is published under the MIT License on GitHub. You may read, fork and self-host it under that license's terms.

Changes
